EXPOSURE STABILITY

To assess the strength and stability performance of cemented backfill exposures, a rigorous three-dimensional numerical modelling approach has been developed by Geotechnica personnel. 

 The approach has been developed and continuously improved over a period of 21 years based on the design, implementation and back-analysis of backfill exposures at operating mines throughout the world (Sainsbury, 2003; Sainsbury and Urie, 2007; Sainsbury and Sainsbury, 2014; Shiels and Sainsbury, 2020; Sainsbury, Sainsbury, et al., 2024).
